Widening Horizons

Young people learning about the world of work

PCiP supports and funds Millfields Inspired through their Widening Horizons programme. This initiative opens doors for students to engage in exciting and enriching learning experiences through visits to a variety of inspiring businesses and oranisations. Through hands on exploration, young people gain real-world insights, discovering a world beyond the classroom.

"The trips are fantastic for children in deprived areas such as ours. They offer them inspiration for being in decent employment when they leave school"

Collaborating with businesses across the city

Widening Horizons allows children to understand the importance of education and how this can influence their life outside of school. Some of the organisations we have partnered with include;  Princess Yachts Ltd, Babcock Group, Foot Anstey, City College Plymouth, Cattedown Harbour Commissioners, KARST , Sonardyne International, Mayflower Marina, and many more.

"I enjoyed the Babcock trip at HQ because it was very interactive"
