Working in partnership with Farms for City Children and Shallowford Farm, these life changing residentials enable children from disadvantaged communities to experience the adventure of working together on their farms in the heart of the British countryside.
The children benefit from a residential stay at a working farms, building their courage, confidence and compassion, benefitting their mental health and wellbeing and changing the way they see themselves and their future.
Children who spend time outside in nature experience better mental and physical health and improved wellbeing, yet children who live in underserved areas of the UK are 20% less likely to spend time outside in the natural world than their peers from more affluent areas.
